Sun Opener - Sinicuichi

Hardy perennial shrub to 1–2m with narrow foliage and small yellow flowers through spring and summer. Thrives in full sun, tolerates poor soils once established, and responds well to a hard prune in winter. Suits beds, borders and large pots. Attracts bees and other pollinators. Long valued in the traditional practices of Mexico and Central America. Its common name comes from its association with the sun in this tradition, and it has historically been included in rites concerned with memory, ancestry and divination.
