Shiso - Red Seeds

Perilla Frutescens

Shiso is a traditional Japanese herb with aromatic anise flavoured leaves. The seeds are also used as a spice. The plant has a bushy growth habit. Annual herb that grows well in moist fertile soil in part or full shade. This Red variety has a great flavour but is also very ornamental.

Keep seed refrigerated to prevent them loosing viability

Soak seed over night before sowing then sow in to well drained soil, drainage is important as seeds are prone to rotting in soil that is too heavy. Grow at around 20ºC
