Trigonella foenum

Fast-growing leafy herb with a mild curry-like flavour. Young leaves are ideal for salads, stir-fries and garnishes, while mature plants can be grown for seed. Also excellent as a green manure crop, the tap root helping improve soil structure and add nitrogen.

Sow in soil temperatures between 12–22 °C. Best grown in autumn, winter and early spring in most Australian climates. Leaves ready in approximately 20–30 days; seeds mature in 90–110 days.
